all searches coming up dry

I just installed the program tonight. And I'm unable to get anything to come up when I type in an artist or song. It says All (0) under every category. Also on the very top it says "Limewire: Enabling Information Sharing".

Why is this happening? I used an older version of limewire on my old computer, and I never had a problem like this. Please help...

Is your LW properly connected (all green/blue connection bars)?? If LW's connected, try the fixes below.

1. In LW go tools > options > searching > basic & check whether the 'show license warning' box is ticked. If it does, untick it > Apply > ok...see if that makes any difference.

3. Delete LW's preferences folder when LW's properly closed. See point 3 here & also point 2 if you've used older versions of LW in the past (there could be a folder in either location).

This will change all of your settings within LW's options, you'll have to go back through afterwards & reset things to the way you like them.

If LW's not connected, try the fixes in the post below. If nothing there helps, post back with your system details

thanks for the response. It's simpler than all that. I feel a bit stupid. I was searching for artists and albums. If I type in title, stuff comes up. However, I'm trying to figure out how to get full albums. I guess I'll make an inquiry in the appropriate forum. I am having a HELL OF A TIME, compared with the old version of limewire I had.
