newbie with connection probs

newbie with connection probs

i have used limewire successfully for years ive just bought a new lap top installed lw and when i try to search for a file it comes up with the error message lw may not return many results as it is still trying to connect to the network??? ive been trying all sorts all day please help someone its driving me mad.#thanks
