McAFee users I have the connection solution!!
For me, to fix the connection issue with limewire, I went into add/remove programs and:
removed (under McAFee 1) privacy service 2) and spamkiller i rebooted, reinstalled limewire and it works perfect. (this also helped me fix other p2p programs that would not work) Hope this helps, someone else has probably said it first, so thanks to whoever -Nick
