I have honestly tried everything!

Limewire used to work a few months ago, but we cleaned out our computer and returned it to like new. So we lost everything! And now limewire won't work.

1. OS version? (eg: Windows 98)Windows XP Home Edition 2002 Sevice Pack 2
2. What firewalls you have? Windows
3. How much ram?352 MB
4. Hard Disk space available?I dont know, but I do know it is enough for Limewire.
5. Connection type? (eg: dialup, broadband, cable, etc.)Cable
6. Modem & router brand name & model numbers?SB4200 Surfboard Cable Modem.
7. Where are you trying to connect from (house, appartment complex, school, student accomodation, work, etc.)?House
8. What version of LimeWire (LW) & Java do you have? (Go to LW's menu Help>About LW...) Will show both LW & Java version: Limewire 14.4.12, Java 1.6.0_03
9. Who is your ISP (Internet Service Provider)? Wide Open West
10. Do this simple test for us. Using your browser go here: http://www3.limewire.com:6346/ The page should say 'Your test worked!'. What happens when you go there? It said it worked.
11. Are you sharing the connection with other computers or p2p sharing programs?No, its windows XP so there is 2 users, but only I use limewire.
12. Is this a your 1st try at LW or is this a new problem with an experienced user. NEw problem, experienced user.
13. Do you see a brick wall: Yes, but its always been there, and my firewall allows limewire.
14. For those using a modem/router: USNP enabled
15. What security programs are you using: Windows Firewall
16. What country are you living in?USA

Same thing happened when I downloaded Frostwire and Bearshare

So is anybody going to help me or was this a waste of time?

I have similar issues although i am a new user and have done everthing that is posted on the website etc.

i guess i should just join the crowd? i paid for limewire and still cant get it to work...what is up with it? i really would like to use what i paid for...and yes i did everything they said to do...just like everyone else ...help!

The Problem you can try everything But it aint gonna work. See All of your programs connect to the Gnuella Network. Unfortunately They Forgot to warn everyone they have Updated a File Which Is Located in your Limewire Folder. Trying Clicking here and downloading this file And Replacing it with the Old one. gnutella.net. For Windows Xp user Open Run in The start and Type Application Data and it should take you to a windows with other folders. Delete the Exsisting Gnuella.net file and replace it with the new one. When Being instructed to either run or save, Save it into My documents Then copy it into the Limewire Folder. Make sure to delete it out of My Documents and Then Restart Limewire and you should Get a turbo Charged Connection ;)

unable to use limewire

Hi, I am new at this, I downloaded the limewire program, updated my Java Script and I get all the menu options to limewire, I click search, then type in my request the limewire logo spins the artist highlights, it looks like it is working but NOTHING HAPPENS!... I have uninstalled and reinstalled the program at least 8 times and the same thing happens I get NOTHING... What am I doing wrong?

ive just done this and still not working ive never had any pros with limewire before any more help that i could try my firewall is letting limewire work but just not connecting its staying on the one green bar
