limewire firewall blocked 4.14.12

Since I got rid of my Norton Antiivirus/Antispyware and got Free AVG 7.5 my limewire does not want to connect. It does not want to connect due to a firewall is blocking it which I have tried to figure how to unblock it. How can I fix this problem since I only got windows XP and connected to cable.

you can disable the firewall if it came with your computer, but even if you disable,it still might not unblock firewall or have you connect, believe me on this,i know, had same problem,i disable firewall, uninstall my antivirus software, did so many things to have firewall unblock and have connection to have all bars instead 1,still never fix nothing till i went to my administrative tool and allow stupid firewall to work with inbound and outbound status, now it works well and now i am having fun listen to my music and downloading it,if you want to try my option, click on my id name and look for my thread that i post,it has instruction how to go to administrative tool,if you do not know where to go ok,i also don't know if windows xp has administrative tool, not sure if all computers has it,but does not hurt to try ok,my pc is windows vista, good luck.

This is strange. I've noticed a few things.

1) Limewire 4.14.12 set its default port at 4269(I think people are saying its default port is supposed to be 6346?)

2) I have winxp Firewall on(with Limewire access on), and Limewire doesnt show a brickwall when the port is set at 4269(I also get 5 connect bars & normal upload/download operations).

3) I tried setting the Limewire port to 6346, and restarted Limewire, and got the brickwall with no/limited bars(normally have 5).

4) I reset Limewire's port to 4269, exited out of Limewire. Then went & turned off, then back on, my firewall, and restarted Limewire, and got no brick wall with 5 good bars & normal good uploads/downloads.

Dont know why, but my Limewire doesnt like port 6346 when my firewall is active, but has no problem with port 4269 with winxp's firewall on.
