Connection problem
 

:bangh:setup is as follows:bangh:
1.system - windows xp
2. firewalls - windows is disconnected, i have norton antivirus but i don't know how to disable it or if it even exists
3.internet connection- dsl
4. limewire version - 4.14.12
5. java version - 1.5.0_11
6. the test on http://www3.limewire.com:6346/ took me to a blank page
7. I am "having firewall problems" with the brick wall in front of the globe

I downloaded limewire and tried to connect with no success.
I have uninstalled and tried about 3 differant versions of java.
I checked my windows internet firewall and it is not "checked" in the box beside it.
I'm not sure how to check my norton antivirus firewall

could someone please help me:wai::shoot::mad::confused:

I dont' know what else to do to get connected. I have allowed Limewire on my Windows Firewall, I have opened the port on my Norton, and now I have actually turned off Norton, I have spent an hour on the phone with my router provider and have the router firewall turned off, I have downloaded Limewire 4 times. PLEASE HELP ME I still can't connect. Limewire shows the firewall symbol still!!!

:aweof:Finally i have access!!!! I still have the firewall in front of the globe but my limewire works awsome!!! My problem lied in the firewall of my router/modem. Be sure to contact your internet service provider to check if they block gnuetella connections. this is where they helped me to discover the firewall in my dsl router.:idea:
