Taking a long time for bars to go green

Connection Problems Problems getting the LimeWire or WireShare program connecting to the Gnutella network. (not about connecting to files, that is a Download/Upload Problems section issue.) Please supply system details as described in the forum rules.

Taking a long time for bars to go green

I have the latest Limewire downloaded Ver 4.16.2

For some reason it takes about 3 - 4 minutes for the
connection quality bars to go green.

Pentium 4 processor...120 Gig Drive...
1,000 megs of ram running internet connection on cable.

It only started loading slow since in installed this version.

Any ideas?
