No Hosts in Connections list!

Hi,

I had some problems connecting to the network in LimeWire but now I don't even have any hosts in the connections list. The connection bar constantly shows one bar and the connections list remains empty no matter how long I wait.

Does anyone have a solution to this problem or does anyone have similar problems?

Thank you in advance.

You need to read this thread (click on link) If LW Will Not Connect. Follow the instructions carefully.
The gnutella.net file is not supposed to go inside your Program Files...it needs to go within LW's preferences folder. Check that link for how to find the folder & how to replace the file etc:blink:

If that doesn't help, try the other fixes in that thread. If you're still stuck, you need to post back with your system details.

is this better..please help.

ok i reread the instructions and heres what i did, please let me know if i'm on the right track, i think i followed the directions well

i go to My Computer
then i go to Local Disc (C:)
then Documents and Settings
then i click my username
then i go to Application Data
then i click on the Limewire folder
but there is not original gnutella file in there...
so i downloaded the new gnutella file anyway and copy and pasted it in
then i restarted my computer
and my limewire still will not connect

did i mess up?
please help, thanks :(

Providing LW was properly closed before you replaced the gnutella.net file that should be fine. Did you check in Task Manager to make sure there was no LW process running?
Did you also try deleting the whole preferences folder (named LimeWire)?
Go back to the gnutella.net file, hover your mouse over it...what size is the file?

Did you also try updating your Java version? Make sure to remove all other Java versions installed, before installing the new one.

Could you please give us your system details? In this thread If LW Will Not Connect
there's a link to click on, which explains the details that we need.
