Angry cant get lime wire to work

i just installed limewire and evertime i go to search for something a box opens up saying "lime wire is currently connecting to network. your search may not return many results until you are fully connected to network".what does this meen and how do i fix it.....any help would be great as i been trying to get this to work for a week...thank you

It means that you're not connecting to the Network. Might be due to a Firewall, or ISP. Have a nice long read here.

ok..i read that if your using a router it mite be a problem...i am using a router..i also tryed d/l another p2p and it doesnt work either...what do i have to do for the router....PLEASE HELP!!!!!..

windows firewall
512 ram
its 40 gig hd with very 35 gig space
dsl connection
linksys wrt54g
house
lastest free limewire
yahoo/sbc isp
the computer i have the trouble with is my sons.it is the second computer on this connection my main computer i dint have any problem using limewire and it has limewire pro
yes there is a brick wall in front of the world icon
UPnP is enabled
i have nortons on the main computer and using windows security on the one i am having the trouble with
and i live in USA
