downloaded files
 

I am using vista and downloaded a xvid movie and it went into my saved file. When I try to open it to move it into a converter/compressor programme for dvd it will not open in a format that the programme will recognise [ie showing the film type image in the folder] what am I doing wrong?. It is driving me crazy
