Default no connection for some od reason

i was haveing a prob with XP so i reinstaleed it and before i reinstalled XP lime wire worked fine and when i reinstalled it and downloaded lime wire 4.17.3 beta it wouldnt connect so i tried the older version and it wouldnt connect. im useing macafee fire wall i have it to allow lime wire. windows firewall allows it. my lynksys wrt54g router alows it. im connect there dsl from alltel or i guess windstream now. i need any sugestions. please

Its NOT good to use Two Firewalls as they may conflict with each other. Turn off Windows Firewall. Also try Portforwarding your Linksys Router. Gave instruction in post above.
Everyone has a different setup and configuration so you really can't blame Limewire for different Connection Problems. I've used Limewire for several years and have NEVER had a Connection Problem. A lot of times the problems lie with either your Router/Modem or your ISP.

the only weird thing is iv had the same set up with router and modem for 3 years now and never ahd a problem

Not sure about Linksys routers, but make sure that UPnP is allowed through your router's firewall.

its allowed in the router and everything and i dont no why it wont work, maby a prob with xp since i re installed it?
