Ive looked through the boards for help but im not hugely computer competitant so I thought it best to get some proper advice. The problem is limewire appears to be finding a firewall however what this firewall is I have no idea. I have tried turning of windows firewall plus I have CA antui-virus which I dont actually think has a firewall so I am stumped. More confusing is the fact that it was working friday, I have touched nothing and when I tried to connect today it wouldnt work. I am using windows xp and my internet provider is orange wireless broadband. i cant remember what other system requirements I need to give. please someone help?

I played about with lots of tips and somehow it connected i have no idea what i did but it worked i started downloading a video and went out but when i came back my little connection thing is down to 1 bar although my file is still downloading at an ok speed. I dont understand but I cant connect to download anything else. here are my details in hope of a reply.

2. What firewalls you have? Windows Firewall disabled
3. How much ram? dont know
4. Hard Disk space available? lots have external hard drive
5. Connection type? Wireless
6. Modem & router brand name & model numbers? orange wireless broadband livebox e198
7. Where are you trying to connect from? House, where it normally connects from
8. What version of LimeWire (LW) & Java do you have? LimeWire pro 4.14.10 and i think ive just updated java
9. Who is your ISP (Internet Service Provider)? orange?
10. Do this simple test for us. Using your browser go here: http://www3.limewire.com:6346/ The page should say 'Your test worked!'. What happens when you go there? says your test works
11. Are you sharing the connection with other computers or p2p sharing programs? my flatmates all use the same livebox
12. Is this a your 1st try at LW or is this a new problem with an experienced user. Ive used limewire for years its just in the last 2 weeks its decided to hate me
13. Do you see a brick wall in front of the blue world icon at the bottom of LW's interface? i did but not anymore
14. For those using a modem/router, how is your modem/router set up...are you port forwarding or is UPnP enabled? i enabled UPnP
15. What security programs are you using (antivirus etc)? CA
