Connection problem

Message I get that is continuous: "Limewire is currently connecting to the network. Your search may not return many result until you are fully connected". Hours pass and no results -- it never connects?? I have been using Limewire and have been connected before with no problems. Any idea what problem is?

Microsoft Windows XP
Version 2002 Service Pack 2
AMD 64*2 dual, 1.99 GHz, 960 MB of Ram
Norton Antivirus , DSL Modem, Firewall with Micrsoft Windows XP ??

If LW Will Not Connect
