Angry My firewalls both have limewire listed in the exceptions

I have two firewalls installed on my pc and they both have limewire listed in the exceptions but when going to limewire it still shows that it is firewalled and it still does not connect to download.

I find myself in the same situation. I'm using Zone Alarm and LimeWire's got access all across the board. I find it a little discouraging that no one's responding to your post yet. (Except for me, which hasn't exactly been helpful.)

Hello, I have exactly the same set-up, with ZoneAlarm listing Limewire very clearly as exception. I ran through everything suggested in the other thread about replacing the gnutella file, reinstalling, etc.

But:-

After about an hour I realised that my new router also had a built in firewall and by lowering that I was able to connect instantly.

I don't know what router you had, but mine stated something like "allow p2p gaming and uploads, etc" which wasn't selected.

I hope that may be of some help to you?

Install and use only one 'firewall' in your computer.
Multiple installation of 'spyware' detection/cleaning programs is OK and recommended.
More than one installed 'software firewall' will almost certainly cause you many problems.
