![]() Howdy Folks, After trying for many days to get LW 4.13.14 Pro for Linux to connect, this forum provided the answers I needed, although much reading between the lines was nessecary. I am using PCLinuxOS 2007 w/AMD 2600. What the sticky thread " For those who can't connect" fails to mention is that the gnutella.net file is system INDEPENDANT! First I opened the ports on my Linksys router as per the most excellent website PortForward.com - Free Help Setting up Your Router or Firewall, just pick your make and model of router and follow the step by step instructions. Next I replaced the gnutella.net file found in /root/.limewire dir with the one I downloaded from gnutella.net which also fails to mention that this file is platform/OS independant. I then fired up Limewire and it achieved 'Turbo-Charged' connection in seconds. Good Luck! |
