Hi lindy,In Limewire Links (below) click on (If LW will not connect) and try these fixes -- if yr problem still remains -- click on the link (connection problems) and (LW troubleshooting) and go through these fixes -- finally if you still have problems click on (system details) fill in as much as you can and post back here

I posted a message saying i couldn`t connect to limewire for downloads the problem has now been resolved and i`m downloading pretty fast now, well enough garble this is what i had to do.
contol panel/addand remove programs remove Limewire.
DEsktop if limewire is still in system tray(bottom righthand corner) delete.
right click on start-select Explore
goto tools select folder options and tick hidden files
delete any with limwire
go to search select C: drive type limewire click search delete all program/files cotaining limewire
It seems one of theses blank program left after add/remove has caused the problem
Next goto SUN java and download JRE (manual-offline)
then download limewire program
It worked for me hope it works for you:)
