![]() My desktop with windows firewall turned off & behind a router with upnp enabled running XP will not connect. Shows a firewall. Passes the limewire com 6346 test. Windows firewall is turned off. Have no idea if there is another one active. My laptop is wirelessly connected to same router. No problem. I just downloaded Pro prior to the problem. Anyone help. |

![]() I think I just solved it. Tried everything in the posted list. (If LW will not connect). Replacing the gnuetella.net file did the trick. I noticed that the old file's size was 0kb. Probably a good indication that it is no good. The new one has 21kb as I recall. I think the lesson here is, not to put too much emphasis on the "wall" icon. Or at least try the other remedies listed before you start messing with firewall settings or router settings that could really mess up your system. |
