Weird connection issue

Ok, hi guys, new here. I have Limewire 4.16.6, and it has given me almost zero problems :cool: Until now. :( It just no longer wants to connect anymore. I used LimeWire's troubleshooter on their website yesterday, and I added a new port for LimeWire, and that solved my problam after about 20 minutes, but my connection speed was like 1 or 2 Kb/s (It's usually 5) Now, it is no longer working again. I tried the method yesterday, but no luck. Any idea whats going on? It's showing 1 bar constantly, and showing there is a firewall up (whenever it hits 3 bars, it goes away) but now It's always one bar, and thats all I can get out of it. Help please guys, I appreciate it! :)

EDIT: When I tried to complete a old download (via Incomplete Files folder) It says "Waiting for Stable Connections" never seen that before.......
EDIT: Limewire is now connected (45 minutes of it trying to) at 5 bars, w/ no firewall emblem on the globe, but my connection speed sucks worse than ever, now anywhere from 0.7 Kb/s to 2 Kb/s. Any advice? :(

Ok give me some system detail's.

7. Where are you trying to connect from (house, appartment complex, school, student accomodation, work, etc.)?
8. What version of LimeWire (LW) & Java do you have? (Go to LW's menu Help>About LW...) Will show both LW & Java version.
9. Who is your ISP (Internet Service Provider)?
10. Do this simple test for us. Using your browser go here: http://www3.limewire.com:6346/ The page should say 'Your test worked!'. What happens when you go there?

Modem is an internal modem, made when the computer was new, January 2007. Modem works fine with internet, and *worked* great with limewire until about 4 days ago, so I don't know :(
When I get home, I will connect , and see how long it takes it. Any good bass songs anyone can recommend? :)

Thank you, I tried that, made AOL a little bit faster, LimeWire exhibits no change. :(
See, I updated AOL months ago, and limewire wasnt affected until 4 days ago. I haven't downloaded anything recently, so I have no idea what is causing this.

Nah, this is a pretty rural area, not many people have DSL, most have dial-up, usually AOL, ir *shudder* PeoplePC.
I just wonder what happened within the last 96 hours to do this. lol
