Cabos (a LW-Clone) doesn't start Hello! I cannot start Cabos (0.7.9) (a Limewire clone in Java), the following error message appears: Cabos could not be started, frequently this is caused by a personnel Firewall, which forbids Java the entrance to the InterNet. My OS is XP2 (SP3), I’m in the Internet by a Linksys router WAG200G. Past efforts from my side: 1)Firewalls (Active Armor and the firewall of the Router) turned off, no change. 2)Java (1.6.0_05) new installed and tested at the sun-site which says, it’s correctly installed. Also with IExplorer or FireFox Java seems to be working correctly. 3)Limewire itself installed. Runs ok. No error messages. 4)Cabos in a secondary computer installed, which hangs at the same router: runs perfectly. (this computer runs however particularly for reasons of the noise only rarely). Longer times ago, Cabos ran also on my central computer, I had however to accomplish a complete new installation, since that time the program strikes. Special Situation: The Windows XP runs with me on the partition L:, in addition I have the PreRelease of the service pack 3 installed. Cabos runs however on no partition. Does someone has an idea, how I could bring Cabos nevertheless to run? For an answer I thank you in advance! Kurt P.S. Please excuse my clumsy English, I hope it’s at least understandable. |
