Connecting please help!!!!!
 

i am having a prob with connecting to limewire, added an exception for the gnutella port and it worked for awhile but then i couldnt connect again.....im not a computer wiz so when reading through some of the threads i had no clue what you guys were talking about lol...i tried to do a manual port forward but did not work...the firewall for my modem/router is not on....

7. Where are you trying to connect from? HOME
8. What version of LimeWire (LW) & Java do you have? LW 4.16.6, JAVA 1.6.0_03
9. Who is your ISP (Internet Service Provider)? VERIZON
10. Do this simple test for us. PAGE SHOWED 'YOUR TEST WORKED!' w/ WHITE BACKGROUND
11. Are you sharing the connection with other computers or p2p sharing programs? NO
12. Is this a your 1st try at LW or is this a new problem with an experienced user. NO
13. Do you see a brick wall in front of the blue world icon at the bottom of LW's interface? YES
14. For those using a modem/router, how is your modem/router set up...are you port forwarding or is UPnP enabled? UPNP IS NOT ENABLED
15. What security programs are you using (antivirus etc)? VERIZON INTERNET SECURITY SUITE
16. What country are you living in? USA

It looks like your Verzion Security Suite is blocking you.Go and look it the options part and see if lim wire is ticked on.

i checked that and limewire is ticked on......still is not working
