Search function suddenly disabled! Dear Forum, I'm running XP [SP2] and have been running Limewire without problems ever since version 4.0. I am currently running version 4.16 and it, too was working fine until this morning. I downloaded several files and played them...all but one of them played fine..but one would not play and I tried deleting it. Kept getting the unable to delete message..even though there were no users uploading any file. I exited Limewire and started it again. Same problem. Exited again and manually deleted the file in my "shared" folder [Docs & Settings] and I thought my problems were over but they were just beginning! Now I can play previously downloaded files but cannot find any new ones. By that I mean that no matter what I type in the search filed no results come back. The color bar fills up in the box where the search term is displayed but nothing appears..no results..nada. I mean I even typed in My Way by Sinatra and got no result! I uninstalled and re-installed and still I can't get the search function to display any result for any song or artist I type in..not even Britney! I haven't made any changes to my system..no new virus or firewall issue. I ran a virus check and it came back clean. So now I'm stuck with a non-working search function . Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. Thank You!:bangh: |
