Just can't connect anyhow

Hi everyone.

I'm not new to LW. I've been using it for a long time.
I've just relocated to a campus in another city.
I've got this really wiered network in my dorm. Sometimes it loads pages real fast, other times it doesn't load anything.
With the help of the application FREEGATE I've managed to load pages and download things with ease.
But I can't get any P2P or Torrent apps to connect to the internet.
I've granted access through all ports etc... but no use. Here's my specs:

1. OS: Windows XP Pro SP2 (Up-to-date)
2. Firewall: ESET Smart Security (Granted unlimited access for LW)
3. RAM: 2GB
4. HDD: 320 GB SATA2
5. I'm connected via a switch through a wireless connection to the university
6. Modem &... brand: All I know is that the switch is 3COM
7. Connecting from Students Campus
8. Limewire version: 4.17.1 (also checked with other versions, no use :( )
9. ISP: The university
10. The Test: With FREEGATE: It says Your test worked!! , without freegate the connection is reset
11. Sharing connection through switch with other users, but I'm almost the only person who is using the connection (at times I have 2400 KB/s downloads)
12. NOT a Newbie, I connect to LW at home, piece of cake
13. Brick Wall: YES
14. Connecting through a switch
15. Antivirus & Firewall: ESET Smart Security
16. Iran

BTW I tried connecting with the firewall disabled -> No use
I tried connecting through FREEGATE proxy -> Still no use
I tried entering a SOCKS 5 Proxy -> Didn't connect

It seems that the connection is being blocked from the ISP. the two lights (PCs) blink 2-3 times and then no more blinks
Thanks in advance

Maybe your Uni has blocked P2P applications from having access.
If they have an IT person I would ask him about it.
It may be that the Uni doesn't want it's computers being used to thwart the Digital Rights Management laws regarding down/uploading of various free files.

It sounds like your campus/university is blocking P2P (Limewire) -- this is very common with alot of schools/universities. Check with other users
