![]() Hello all. I've tried pretty everything in the threads and nothing seems to work. 1. OS version? Windows XP, SP2. single user account/full admin access. 2. What firewalls you have? Panda Anti Virus 3. How much ram? 512mb 4. Hard Disk space available?104Gb 5. Connection type? (eg: dialup, broadband, cable, etc.)Broadband 6. Modem & router brand name & model numbers? Sky modem/ Netgear DG934G-1SKUKS 7. Where are you trying to connect from (house, appartment complex, school, student accomodation, work, etc.)?Home 8. What version of LimeWire (LW) & Java do you have? (Go to LW's menu Help>About LW...) Will show both LW & Java version. LW 4.16, Java SE update 11 9. Who is your ISP (Internet Service Provider)? SKY 10. Do this simple test for us. Using your browser go here: http://www3.limewire.com:6346/ The page should say 'Your test worked!'. What happens when you go there? It shows as Your Test Worked. 11. Are you sharing the connection with other computers or p2p sharing programs? If yes, please give details of set up. No 12. Is this a your 1st try at LW or is this a new problem with an experienced user. New problem/experienced user 13. Do you see a brick wall in front of the blue world icon at the bottom of LW's interface? _ click here to see Sample image Yes 14. For those using a modem/router, how is your modem/router set up...are you port forwarding or is UPnP enabled? UPnp enabled 15. What security programs are you using (antivirus etc)? Some people might not be aware that their security suite includes a firewall ![]() 16. What country are you living in? Sometimes there are ISPs with the same name in more than one country (eg Clearwire in the USA & also in Ireland). UK Someone please help !!! James. |

The info that you will see is completely safe... And a pain ! > If LimeWire Will Not Load Don't worry about the title... The outlined procedures are probably what you must do. None of this is your fault. ![]() p.s. You should also probably have a search for issues regarding NETGEAR. Don't panic... There are some people around here who know a lot about Netgear and most other router problems.

![]() Ursula. Tried all of this and.................bingo !! It worked. Finally. ![]() The instructions were clear with the exception of downloading the offline version of Limewire. I couldn't find it so downloaded the online version and it still works all the same. ![]() Was a bit suspect at first as I had to remove 13 Java programs at 110Mg+ each but went with it all the same. Thanks very very much, now, back to downloading some tunes !! James. ![]() |
