Stopped connecting after update...
 

I was downloading and took in a bunch of malware/viruses, etc.

I downloaded all kinds of different anti-virus, spyware, programs to clean up my computer.

I also updated Limewire when I was prompted to.

Now when I click on to limewire, the "connect" button under FILE is grayed out, almost as if it's not an option to connect.

Could this have happened because of all those anti-spyware things I installed OR is it a result of my updating Limewire?

At any rate, how can I fix?

Please give instructions at a very "beginner" level, since I'm not that well versed in computer stuff.

OK. I was able to have the "connection" button darkened. But when I connect it, it still will not connect?

Can you send me a link for a page that will show how to resolve connection problems.
