Screensaver Causes LW to completely dissconect? Help?

Have since discovered that it is my screensaver causing all the hassles. As soon as it activates (after 10min idle), LimeWire completely disconnects from the Net on every single occasion..?

Are there any techniques available to help me sort this problem out (other than completely switching the screensaver off)?

Original Query (Below)
""I have spent countless hours searching this site for help regarding my particular problem. Alas however, there genuinely doesn't seem to be any info that can help specifically me! Hence this post... Forgive my ignorance and hopelessness however computers & glitches are not entirely my forte!

Every time I am busy successfully downloading on LimeWire Pro, it inexplicably shuts itself down (LW maintains the connection while I'm busy with other programs, applications etc on the computer). However as soon as my computer is idle for a moment, LW shuts down.

This problem does not happen to other LW users who are utilizing the same broadband connection (Hotel / Lodge)! I then have to re-start LW on every occasion (re-establishing a turbo charged connection and subsequently downloading is not a problem; that is until LW once again shut's itself off).

I have in addition taken the advice from LW’s FAQ - ""Why do I sometimes lose my connection to the Gnutella network""? However this too hasn’t helped. Admittedly, my rather slow – intermittent - internet connection (which I am wirelessly connected too) may indeed play a part regarding this hindrance?

Can anybody kindly assist with this seriously annoying problem (in layman’s terms if preferable)? I’d be sincerely grateful.

Are you sure it's not your network settings. I am not a PC Windows highly knowledgeable person, but on the mac, there is a setting that refers to energy savings and network. Check your system sleep options and network settings.

LR, thanx for the advice but no cigar.

Have explored extensively and I don't think its the energy saving, sleep settings (I'm also not the brightest computer boff around). Additionally, this has never happened before with any other web-based applications during downloading. I can's understand why it is suddenly doing this now; and only with LimeWire..?

Mine used to do that, but I changed the power settings and have my screen saver shut off.

Glad it helped. One correction, I have my screen saver set on "Blank", not shut off.
