Help with download of Limewire

I have just downloaded basic limewire from the internet and I cannot seem to work it I go audio and put a song in and hit search and nothing happens what is it I'm doing wrong, and if it has something to do with a firewall how do I fix this problem to get it working. I have windows 98. Any suggestions would be great, it doesn't have anything to do with the fact I downloaded itunes does it?

Try doing a search for something obvious like "The B***s" and see if any files come up then.
iTtunes shouldn't make any difference. It may be just that the file you are looking for is not available at that time.
It would be good if you could provide us with a bit more information like:
What Antivirus software you are using?
What Operating system are you using?
What Firewall software are you using?
What version of Java Run Time Environment you are running?
What is the name of your ISP?
What router are you using to access the internet?

All these things will help in tracking down your problem.
The other thing you should do is to read as many of the "Sticky" posts at the beginning of each forum as you can.
Quite often people find the answer they are looking for amongs these Stickies.
Good Luck

As well as RobertR's advice -- I think it could possibly be a license problem
License requirement (click on link). Also have a look at this link (Problems with search) -- your problem has nothing to do with the downloading of itunes.
