Stuck at Starting Connection
 

I just upgraded to version 4.18.1. Now all iI get is a "Starting Connection" status in the lower left hand corner. I have checked and Limewire is a listed exception on both Norton and microsoft firewalls.

Other facts: ISP is Comcast, Windows XP. Limewire worked well until upgrade. Help!

1. Should not be using both XP & Norton firewalls because they clash resulting in "less" security, not more. Also other problems. So choose one or the other.

2. When updating Norton OR LW, you need to remove the previous Norton firewall rule for LW & re-add it for the new version LW.

3. For the new version LW, you need to remove the previous LW Preferences folder; Try deleting your LW Preferences folder whilst LW is closed; instructions here: Point #2 & 3 in Fixes for Limewire (sample image included at bottom of page.)

Please help! I have no firewall whatsoever! I dont even have Antivirus. According to the internet connection properties my Firewall is off. However Im still stuck at starting connection! So frustrating!
