What does Requery mean?

I am a new user and most of the downloads I have attempted show 'requery' and then a countdown timer in seconds (?). The time just seems to keep resetting and the download never starts. What does this mean???

This new feature is LimeWire researching the network with your query when the timer expires. If it finds a match it will start to download the file. It hasn't yet so it will wait for a bit and then search again. If you let it search long enough it will eventually get the file.

would the requery take up bandwidth?
i have a habit of downloading multiple files...

Yes, but the time between requeries is long enough where it shouldn't be a significant factor.
