What changed? (could connect yesterday, can't today)
 

I was able to use my limewire yesterday, and today I have the never connecting issue. So I went and bought pro. Now I am still unable to connect.
Nothing has changed on my system.
Windows XP SP2
1 gig of ram
plenty of hard drive space.

I know that isn't a lot of info but as I said it worked fine yesterday. Nothing has changed, not my router or any of my system settings.

I have tried all the fixes previously listed. The only thing that may have changed is that Microsoft Malicious software update. But I don't know how to undo it.

limewire did the same to me to just give it some time try searching some songs over and over again it should wokr eventually.

I'll give it a try and see what happens.

when you say search for songs over and over, do you mean do loads of searches at once?, or do you mean do one and when that gets no results, do another etc.????
i.e. is it an ongoing process or do you do all the work at first and then wait for:"11 minutes"????? (same, it connected on saturday night, and no connection since!!)

I started searching multiple songs, the first one never connected but everything after it did. Then I searched the first song again and it was fine. Has worked perfectly ever since.
