LW says I have a firewall...I don't! 1. Vista with administrator rights. 2. Windows is the only one I know of. 3. 512 mb ram? 4. 77 GB free space? 5. cable connection 6. Modem & router brand name & model numbers? Not sure 7. Connecting from home 8. LW – 4.18.2, Java 1.6.0-oem 9. Comcast ISP 10. Do this simple test for us. - Yes this worked 11. Not sharing with any other computers 12. Been using LW for years, first time with this problem and it started after upgrading LW to newest version. 13. Yes – there is a brick wall. I’ve gone through all the trouble shooting, made sure LW is added as an authorized program etc. 14. upnp is set up to my knowledge 15. McAfee is the only security program installed on the computer/ 16. I’m in the USA I’ve turned off McAfee and Windows firewall (which is making me very uncomfortable :nono:) and I am still having the same problem. It was working just fine before I upgraded to the newer version. What else can I try???? :bangh::bangh: |
Because you upgraded your version of LW you might have to reconfigure your Firewall to allow LW full access again -- also the firewall in your router -- Does your McAfee software also contain a firewall -- if so disable your windows firewall -- using 2 firewalls causes problems and reduces your security -- if you still cant connect -- In Limewire Links (below) click on (If LW will not connect) and go through these fixes |
