Sloooow Connection on Mac OSX 10.5.3 with new version LW 4.18.3
 

Boy is Limewire slow to fully connect to my network! I would think it's not responding at all, but if I let it sit there for a couple of minutes it'll eventually hook up. It tells me my connection to the network is very strong, but at first it doesn't seem to even see it. It just turns the shortest bar green and the others don't do anything even though the pulldown menu says it's connected. :eek:

This is new behavior, using the latest Limewire for the Mac, 4.18.3. Before I updated things Limewire would connect reasonably fast. Once it's fully green it searches and downloads normally.

I have a Mac using 10.5.3.

Is this a common problem? Is there a fix?

1. Tip: Purge the Downloads Queue! (click on blue link) & see if that speeds things up. :)
