Airport Express and Limewire connectivity problem Dear Anyone who knows anything about router configuration,
After hooking my Airport Express Basis station to my cablecom cable modem to create a wireless environment for internet access at home, I've no longer been able to access the Gnuttela Network. The firewall symbol is clearly visible at the bottom of the Limewire display window. The Airport Express Basis-station does not support UPnP according to the Airpot forums, which means if I want to be able to access Gnutella, I have to manually configure my Airport device to allow connectivity between my wireless network and Gnutella behind my Airport's own Firewall. Important to know is that the Airport Express is set up on a Dell Windows XP operating system.
Now that I have tried to follow all the support instructions from both LW and Airport(open preferences in limewire to reveal the "listening port on" figure and the router configuration "manual port forward" figure), I'm still totally clueless as to how to put this info into effect in the Airport sevice administrator. There's just too much missing info for me to configure my Airport Basisstation correctly. Can anyone help me out? Could sure use some simple advice.
System Details
Operating System: Windows XP
Limewire 4.14
Router: newest Airport Express Basis station
