Try the fixes in the thread below.
If LW Will Not Connect

If nothing there helps, post back with your system details (see for thread for more info about the details that we need).

Hi Everyone

I'm in the same position as a lot of people, my LW has not worked for a week or so. I have followed all the help stuff as best I can the only thing I've yet to try is the "gnutelle.net file" I can't find it. I'm not the greatest on PC knowledge but can usually find stuff. I even downloaded frostbite and it works okay.

I've tried the disconnect/connect----Tools---Options---Filters Hosts---& Searching Basic-- Licence Warning.

Any help you can give would be appreciated.

My system details are as follows:-

Microsoft Windows XP
Media centre Edition
Version 2002
Service Pack 2
Dell Dimension DIME521
AMD 64x2 Dual
2.61GHz, 2.00GB of RAM

Thanks, Sweeper

Sweeper,

The gnutella.net file is within the folder named LimeWire - which is hidden by default. So you'll need to make sure that you show hidden files & folders, before you go looking for that LimeWire folder. If you can find the LimeWire folder but there's no gnutella.net (or gnutella) file there at all, just download one & add it to the LimeWire folder. A few people have said that they never had a gnutella.net file to start with!

If nothing in that connection help thread works, you really need to post all of your system details. Like it says in the thread. And like it says in the forum rules. Otherwise we can't help you.
