I am so tired of trying to download too! It downloads then all of the sudden I go to open up the file and this message keeps coming up. Which I forgot what it says.

Hi im starting to get a little upset with limewire because for some reason its not connecting when I use Vista. I had XP and it worked wonderfully but once I installed Vista, it wouldnt work. I have been searching for answers in these forums and nothing seems to work. Im pretty good with computers and my Bearshare works fine. My OEM Vista Premium disk didnt come with McAfee so thats not a problem, and I have added exemptions and ports to my Norton 360 firewall as well as my D Link Gamer Lounge router. I tried turning the windows firewall off completely and still nothing works. I have the latest Jave update, and installation went smoothly I just cant seem to connect to the network. Now like I said, if I wipe my system and install XP again, limewire works with no problems so I know it has to be a Vista issue. At this point im lost heres some more specs about my system:

Vista Home Premium
Limewire Pro 4.14.12
Java 1.6
Norton 360 Anti-Virus
No McAfee
D-Link Gamer Lounge Router
2GB Ram
120 GB Hard Drive (80GB Free)
HP DV9005 Laptop
Road Runner Cable ISP

I recently downloaded limewire 4.16.2 and it can't connect to the internet
( bellsouth.net dsl )
any idea's on how to fix

Hello Everybody. I am a subscriber of Limewire and my subscription ends on June 25, 2008.
I have read carefully almost all notes regarding problems of connecting on Limewire.
What I can say with sorrow of course is that it is easier for anyone to win any lottery than connect Limewire by 95% and if you are lucky to connect and ask for any song or video....oh ! then it is the greatest moment a parade of spam or porno files for downloading.
To close this letter now. With a mission impossible to connect on Limewire, I will think 10 times if it is worth to renew my subscription when time comes. That is to pay money for a program when you need it, it is dead.
Thanks for the good understanding but I just expressed my feelings like crystal clear.

Was successfully using free limewire. Now if I put in search all I get is slow grey infill of search item at the top and no results.
