Default Sudden connection problems

Hey guys. I'm having sudden connection issues - Limewire seems to be suddenly be blocked by my router's firewall when I had it configured, and it was working. Tried everything I could think of, not working, so I figured it was time to ask for help

1. OS version? XP Pro SP2
2. What firewalls you have? Just one, router
3. How much ram? 1.25GB
4. Hard Disk space available? 10GB
5. Connection type? Cable
6. Modem & router brand name & model numbers? Linksys WRT54GC
7. Where are you trying to connect from (house, appartment complex, school, student accomodation, work, etc.)? Home
8. What version of LimeWire (LW) & Java do you have? (Go to LW's menu Help>About LW...) Will show both LW & Java version.

Limewire 4.18.3
Java 1.6.0_06
9. Who is your ISP (Internet Service Provider)? Persona Cable
10. Do this simple test for us. Using your browser go here: http://www3.limewire.com:6346/ The page should say 'Your test worked!'. What happens when you go there? It worked
11. Are you sharing the connection with other computers or p2p sharing programs? If yes, please give details of set up.

I have one other computer attacked to the network wired. He seems able to connect. I also use Shareaza on this computer, it connects through a different port and works fine.

12. Is this a your 1st try at LW or is this a new problem with an experienced user. Experienced user.
13. Do you see a brick wall in front of the blue world icon at the bottom of LW's interface?Yes
14. For those using a modem/router, how is your modem/router set up...are you port forwarding or is UPnP enabled? Tried both.

15. What security programs are you using (antivirus etc)? AVG Free anti-virus, Ad-aware, Spybot search and destroy

16. What country are you living in? Sometimes there are ISPs with the same name in more than one country (eg Clearwire in the USA & also in Ireland). Canada

Flashstorm: I am having the exact, exact same problem, the same situation, the same router.. same same same. I disconnected my firewalls but nothing helps. Did you get a response as to how to fix the problem. Remoc sent me to a site to buy something..I really dont see that as solving the problem. Please let me know what you came up with. Thanks

Obviously you didn't read the link or you Don't know what your doing. Port forward.com is a site that helps members forward a port so they can connect to other programs that their router may block. There's nothing on that site that you have to Buy.

Hrdwrker, You might want to start reading, before you post things that you will regret later.

In my questionaire, question 14 asked me how my router was set up: UPnP, or port forwarding. My answer, as you can see, was that I tried both. So, obv that didnt work.

@ hrdworker: where, exactly, are all these limewire files located?

I'm confused. No, I didnt click that link, because I already know how to forward ports and thus I already tried it. That was already answered in question 14. I dont have it fixed yet either, hrdworker said something about deleting all the limewire files but I have no idea where they all are or what he's talking about.

Remoc: You dont have to be nasty. Your way was far too confusing. I resolved my problem and put the answer in another forum. Everyone there is using that method and it works! So yes, I do know what I am doing and port forward is not necessary. But once again you dont need to be rude to me in this forum. I was trying to assist Flashstorm.

Flashstorm: you need to go read the message I sent you. I explained step by step. Or go the the other forum where everyone states they are connecting. According to what I read, sometimes the router or some other firewall just decides to start blocking Limewire. You need to delete everything connnected to limewire and start over like a clean slate. I restarted after I deleted everything just to be sure. I have absolutly no problems now. Downloaded a bunch last night
