Limewire will not start Please, let's not get all 'newbie' about this: I need a down and dirty solution to this problem without all the mods and others having one jump through hoops and spend hours deleting this and installing that!! I've had Limewire since the 90's and have never had a problem until now. I re-formatted and installed XP once again and now Limewire/Frostwire will not open. I know all the 'helpful' suggestions about Java et al, but, hasn't anyone in the PTB's come up with a simple correction for this problem????? Thanks for your possible help with this, hopefully with no one asking me for my os, my amount of memory, or what I had for breakfast this morning. I just need the one or two click solution as I'm sure lots of other people do.:xirokrotima: |

In regard to 'Java updates', I do believe that there are far more advantages in having it current in order to operate everything correctly while viewing the 'web' than it is to have a fuctional working p2p program. My 'beef' would be that why are the unforseen problems in working together not thought of before implimenting programs? I know that 'Limewire' has always worked properly for me in the past but I consider the Sun Microsystem's products to be fully functional more important. It is not that I really need Limewire or Frostwire, but, they are nice additions to my program groups and I would sure like to see someone come up with: #1, a simple work around without have to uninstall this, install that, etc., etc., and #2, when asking questions in forums, it sure would be nice if the mods and other 'intelligent' beings would not treat everyone else as complete newbies and just consider that perhaps we know just as much if not more than you do, but just happen to be having a slight problem with working something out! ( sorry about the ranting, but it sure gets ones' back up when all you want is the why's and how's of something.) :o |
understandable im not a mod but i am frostwire support mod at forum that may help since limeyfrost both same (inter workings) as well as ares p2p so yes i also am familiar w ppl asking work arrounds but ill try help if possible |
