![]() It is happening to me too!! I have Limewire for a while now and i decided to install McAfee recently and suddenly it won't connect... so i uninstall McAfee because i thought it was the problem!! But even with my old antivirus back (Avast), limewire won't connect. I checked the window firewall and everything i could...! I have a router (D-Link) but it was working before installing McAfee so is my router could be the problem?? |

What firewalls you have? None that I've installed, just what's on the PC 3. How much ram? 4. Hard Disk space available? >250GB 5. Connection type? Where are you trying to connect from (house, appartment complex, school, student accomodation, work, etc.)? Home 8. What version of LimeWire (LW) & Java do you have? Using your browser go here: http://www3.limewire.com:6346/ The page should say 'Your test worked!'. What happens when you go there? Page said "Your test worked" 11. Are you sharing the connection with other computers or p2p sharing programs? If yes, please give details of set up. Not that I'm aware of. 12. Is this a your 1st try at LW or is this a new problem with an experienced user. I've been using LW for ages but recently had phone line disconnected due to rennovations and hence ISP codes were removed from phone exchange. Sometimes there are ISPs with the same name in more than one country (eg Clearwire in the USA & also in Ireland). Australia I hope this helps in trying to identify a possible fix. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Regards. |
