 Firewall Detected Even Though It's Turned Off Please Help!  My computer runs on Windows XP with a Cable internet connection and I have Limewire 4.18.3. The only firewall on my computer is Windows Firewall and it IS turned off but yet my Limewire still says that there is a firewall detected and I can't get any music. I saw a similar thread in the technical support thread about the same matter and that person hasn't got any help with their post so I thought I could post it here to see if anyone can assist with this. Any help would be greatly appreciated.  |

| I have the same problem Here we go. 1. XP. 2. Windows and McAfee. Both set to allow LimeWire 3. 504 MB 4. 11.6 GB 5. Cable 6. Linksys WRT54G 7. House 8. 4.18.3 9. Optimum Online 10. 'Your test worked!'. 11. No 12. New Problem 13. Yes 14. Port forwarding 15. McAfee just expired 16. USA Hope that helps |

| Optimum Online have been known for blocking certain port numbers... I would suggest that you re-do your port forwarding and change the port number this time...  Port Forwarding for the Linksys WRT54G
