Go to Start menu -> Programs -> LW -> Uninstall.

Then get either version LW 4.16 or 4.12 & install: LimeWire - OldVersion.com & see if that helps :)

If still issues, then run thru these tips again: http://www.gnutellaforums.com/connec...t-connect.html

If still problems, then post back with which version of LW you chose. Also list which Java version you are using. :)

LW's menu bar -> Help menu -> About LW

Still no good....

Limewire 4.12.3
Java 1.6.0_07

I tried the port foward solution reccomended on here on this website
Port Forwarding for the Norton Internet Security 2007
and got a brief slow connection, then lost it when my computer rebooted. Now I am stuck again:mad2:

Norton ? You didn't mention above you had Norton. sighs

(a) Make a note of your settings then: Try deleting your LW Preferences folder whilst LW is closed; instructions here: Point #2 & 3 in Fixes for Limewire (sample image included at bottom of page.)

(b) Tip: Purge the Downloads Queue! (click on blue link)

(c) Again, disable all your performance options, and OOB searching. ;) Set LW to manually connect via file menu.
