I've tried it all and still can't connect [Solved: Disabled then re-enabled firewall]
 

I have spent about the last 5 hours looking through all of these threads and forms and I'm still unable to connect. I have tried everything from deleting the pref. folder and disabling the ultrapeer to the manual forward. I am using windows xp and have 384mb of ram. I am using a motorola modem with a linksys router. PLEASE PLEASE help. I dont know what to do. I was able to connect perfect before I download the new version of 4.18.3. It seems like this always happens everytime I download the newest version it always takes me forever to get it back up in running.
I dont know what else to do. when lw is working good theres no other program that can touch what it can do. I hope somebody with some knowledge will reply soon

OMG I finally did it. I went to my firewall program and even though it was allowing me to have limewire as a usable program I closed it out completely and tried to open LW. This allowed me to connect. I reopened my firewall and everything is all gravy baby. Thanks for my own help...hahaha

Good to hear asite2bcn :) Must have been some communication issue between LW & the firewall.
