AAPT does not block p2p programs as far as I know.

Try these things:

1. Tip: Purge the Downloads Queue! (click on blue link)

2. If you haven't already, check these options: http://www.gnutellaforums.com/connec...t-connect.html which includes manually connecting. Getting rid of old preferences is a start too.

3. Remove LW from your VISTA firewall settings, then re-add it.

Questions:

(a) Do you see anything appear in the Connections Tab window when trying to connect?
(b) If you can, try to find the name of the brand (& model number) of your modem or router ... the box that connects between the computer & the telephone line (or wall socket.)
(c) Did you try installing FrostWire to see if it could connect? If yes, try downloading Phex & see if it connects.
(d) In your Network settings (control panel), do you have a DNS number?
