I'm operating Windows Vista from home on an admin account. I've been using limewire for over 3 years and about a week now, I haven't been able to connect to it. I have DSL and Verizon is my internet provider. I use Limewire version 4.18.6 and java version 1.6.0_07. When I click on the connection tab, it says connecting and I only have one green bar. I have a Linksys modem and I use windows firewall (i made limewire an exception). I did the test and it worked. I also tried removing and installing limewire but nothing worked. I see a brick wall where the globe is. i've tried auto connecting to host 64.61.25.139 but nothing is working. what should i do?

I have a similar problem. For the past 2 days I have been able to get a full connection. Sometimes I can get to 3 green bars but for most of the time it sticks on 1 or 2 green bars. I installed Limewire 4.18.6 and checked Firewalls etc but I can't get anything to download.

Prior to this I had no problems?

i haven't been able to get past one bar, i ran all tests and double checked firewall but still no hope

i have just found a fix for the connection problems!!! first, dlete all versions of limewire on your computer, be sure to check for hidden files (could be stored under roaming) and delete those too. once you have removed limewire completely, go to Download LimeWire, LimeWire 4.16.3 Download where you can download version 4.16.3 of limewire. once you download it, your bars will go from one to five and your connection will be very strong. hope this helps cuz it worked for me
