Default Nothing Happens when I search

I have Windows Vista, HP Computer, No Firewalls, Dialup, Limewire 4.18.13, Java 1.6.0_05

Ok this is the problem: Majority of the time after I type in a name of a song and artist and then click search Nothing Happens. It acts as if it is searching but after its trhough searching nothing appears in the box where it is suppose to list the artist and song..

What do I need to do to get it to work.
Any help is appreciated..
Thanks So Much
Jessica

Are you fully connected to the network....ie. Do you see all green or blue bars or are some red ???

If you have any red bars you could give these fixes a try....

http://www.gnutellaforums.com/connec...t-connect.html

If you are fully connected you could give these fixes a try....

Go to Tools > Options > Searching > Lisence Warning and make sure the box is not ticked and select apply...

If that does not help try going to your Connections Tab in limewire, if it's not showing up go to Veiw > Show/Hide and make sure the connection tab has a tick next to it...
Then click on the Hosts and remove them and let Limewire search for some more...
(try to take note of the hosts IP numbers if the same ones keep re-appearing add them to your host filter...)

Tools > Options > Filters and select the Host Filter and add these IP's into it and select apply...

Try installing PeerGuardian, it will help keep the fake hosts out...Remember to enable PG just before you start limewire up...
Phoenix Labs » PeerGuardian 2

If you're using Vista, there's this PG2 Beta available for Vista users.
PeerGuadian 2 for Windows Vista beta released - Phoenix Labs

PeerGuardian 2:Manual - Phoenix Labs Wiki

Another thing if you are using limewire 4.13 and later you can apply this hostile list...This will block known fake IP addresses...

Every time i try to do a search nothing comes up at all. My signal keeps saying starting connection yet a download that i stopped earlier is downloading. While all this is happening my connection keeps getting disconnected. I never had problems till recently. What to do?

I have windows vista, i do have a firewall, and i'm cable modem. The thing is i never had a problem with this. The last time i used the program was about a month ago and had no problems untill 3 nights ago. Like i have a song i previously started to download and stopped it in the middle and last night while trying to search songs, it finished downloading yet nothing came up when i searched for anything. I tried that link to make sure i'm connecting and i'm connected yet at the bottom the bars are almost all red and says starting connection or will disconnect if left alone for a while.
