Limewire is currently connecting

I only receive one bar of signal/connection and I have tried every possible troubleshoot listed that I can see.

And if I try to search I just receive a message saying: Limewire is still attempting to connect blah blah.

Any ideas. Im fresh out.

Thanks :)

Oh FYI.

I use a Netgear router.

The ports are set up fine, I've done it at least four times over the phone to them and it has worked in the past, just randomly it stopped working at one point. I did have a random thought that it was as soon as I set Limewire to exit completely when I click the x button.

Tried changing the settings and still nothing :(

Depressing.

I'm having the same problem as grangey, I have made sure that my windows firewall is not on and also my virus program Norton is set to allow Limewire. I have used Limewire on this platform for many years with no problems. I downloaded the lastest version of Limewire and ever since then I can not connect. I have tried everything to get it to connect and still nothing. I get one bar and when I search I get a message that Limewire is still trying to connect. I hope someone has an answer for this.

I am having this EXACT same problem!

It's been going on for over a month... once when I left it open for over 3hrs it eventually connected.

I've tried most of the 'won't connect' advice but it does not work. Help!

I got tired of figuring it out so I unintsalled, and installed it again. It worked.... for now.
