Limewire and router port

Hello,
i have seen that if i don't open the port i can download at very good
speed too ...
So why i have to open the port ? only for see the worldmap without firewall

You don't have to open a Port if your limewire is working fine...The reason we suggest that some people do is because they are behind a firewall which can affect their connection....
