Problems downloading audio with new version (currently connecting to network)

I just downloaded the LW version, 4.18.8. Everytime I try to search for an artist or song, a message window pops up and says, "Limewire is currently connecting to the network. Your search may not return many results until you are fully connected to the network." The search never completes. I'm not having any connection problems, my internet is working fine. Anyone else having this problem and what do I need to do? I never had this problem with the older version. Thank you!

Try the fixes in the thread below. If nothing there helps, post back with your system details.
