The instruction for that is in the Link I posted "If LW will not Connect" Post #7.
AFAIK there really is no way to contact LW. You can send an E-Mail I think. Go to your Pro Support Page. I think it's there somewhere. You might try here www.limewire.org. as this is the LW Forum. Not to sure How much help is over there.

Also noticed Trend IS 2008 has a two way Firewall. Have you configured it to give LW Full Access ??

Remoc:

Ok...going to try to delete the Pref folder and then if that doesn't work, I'll head over to PRO Support and see what kind of assistance is available.

You're help is greatly appreciated and thank you!

If upgrading to Pro, it's best to delete the LW preferences folder as Remoc suggested. There's also the Gnutella file that for some versions of LW was out of date & needs replacing.

Sometimes a combination of these ideas works http://www.gnutellaforums.com/connec...t-connect.html as it has for me even recently. Sometimes too many incomplete files can crowd out LW from connecting properly. There may be other reasons, but at a guess UPnP is not communicating properly between LW & your modem/router because too many signals being sent out at the time LW is trying to connect, be it due to incomplete files, OOB, Ultrapeer settings, etc.

If still no good; System details - help us to help you (click on blue link) would give us some clues. ;)

BTW Pro support is very slow dare I say it.

BTW do you know what 'fake' files are? Can you recognise them? They tend to crowd the connection & best deleted if recognised.

I have completely uninstalled it (Both using the uninstall process and also deleting EVERYTHING). I have tried every suggestion on this board: Firewalls, Frostwire, etc, and nada.

Use Windows cleanup, ... erm not sure of the name of the program because I don't use windows, an alternative is Crap Cleaner to help clean up registry.

Use the Add/Remove control panel to remove all versions of Java. Then install the 'OFFLINE' version of java about 15 MB in size; Download Java software from Sun Microsystems; use Crap Cleaner or Windows Cleanup after removing Java too. :)

Delete your LW preferences folder, found here Point #2 & 3 in Fixes for Limewire (sample image included at bottom of page.) Or Vista, see http://www.gnutellaforums.com/genera...der-vista.html

Reinstall LW using 'this' version http://www9.limewire.com/download/LimeWireWin-full.exe

You may need to remove your previous LW firewall rule in windows firewall & re-add it, maybe not. ;)
