Problem (full connection but no search results)

Recently I've been having a problem with LimeWire. Slowly, Limewire will connect to 5 full bars of green, however when I try and search, I get no results. Sometimes I've been able to search, but when I download the file, it either downloads at 1KB/s then stops, or just shows the message Connecting... . Then, gradually, the 5 green bars will go down to 3, back to 4, etc. My connection status is Leaf, and I appear to be getting connected to hosts, then cut off. I've also been having problems with uTorrent. It simply refuses to download. Maybe the problems are connected somehow?

3. How much ram? 512MB
4. Hard Disk space available? 60GB
5. Connection type? (eg: dialup, broadband, cable, etc.) Broadband
6. Modem & router brand name & model numbers? Netgear DG834G
7. Where are you trying to connect from (house, appartment complex, school, student accomodation, work, etc.)? House
8. What version of LimeWire (LW) & Java do you have? Limewire 4.18.8 Java 1.6.0_05
9. Who is your ISP (Internet Service Provider)? AOL
10. Do this simple test for us. Using your browser go here: http://www3.limewire.com:6346/ The page should say 'Your test worked!'. What happens when you go there? Your test worked
11. Are you sharing the connection with other computers or p2p sharing programs? If yes, please give details of set up. No
12. Is this a your 1st try at LW or is this a new problem with an experienced user. New problem, I've been using Limewire since 2004
13. Do you see a brick wall in front of the blue world icon at the bottom of LW's interface? No
14. For those using a modem/router, how is your modem/router set up...are you port forwarding or is UPnP enabled? Don't know
15. What security programs are you using (antivirus etc)? Some people might not be aware that their security suite includes a firewall :) Norton Antivirus, set to allow Limewire
16. What country are you living in? Sometimes there are ISPs with the same name in more than one country (eg Clearwire in the USA & also in Ireland). The UK
17. Has anything in your setup changed recently? Have you updated your version of LW or Java? Have you added any new software or new hardware? Have you updated any software? Have you moved house, changed internet plan or ISP etc etc? I changed my router to the Netgear DG834G, about 3 months ago, but it worked since then. This problem developed this month

EDIT: May I add that I've tried uninstalling, deleting all files associated with Limewire, including the application data, and reinstalling, but it didn't work

My guess is it's isp related. ;)

It isn't completely blocked, I actually managed to download something at around 4KB/s with Limewire earlier.

I am having the same problems with nothing coming up when searching today. I un installed and re installed. Still nothing

Perhaps Windstream ISP is your problem. :) That's all I can guess with the information you haven't given me. ;)
