Default Can't Connect

Well, i've had limewire for a couple of years, never has been a problem, since a couple of months ago.
Heres an application for whoever is so kind enough to assist me through my problem.

1. OS version? Windows XP.
2. What firewalls you have? BitDefender (i added the rule to allow limewire)
3. 512 MB RAM
4. 95.5G Available on hard disk
5. Connection type : Broadband
6. I'll find Model numbers out if its necessary
7. Im at : Home
8. Version : 4.18.2
9. ISP : BT
10. The test Worked

Also, on limewire, the little firewall picture DOES have a brick wall through it, but its always been like that, even when limewire worked.

Peace out

Ok guys, i just saw another sticky about having to delete your preferences located at C:/Documents And Settings/your_username/
When i go to that directory, there is nothing in there to do with limewire, i don't know if this is the problem or not....
if im sounding stupid here, I'm sorry, im not very computer minded...

Make sure your XP firewall is turned off. Go to the control panel, double click on Windows Firewall, check the disable box.

Check through these suggestions, as a combination may fix things: http://www.gnutellaforums.com/connec...t-connect.html

If still not connecting, post back details about your modem/router(s) & if any other computers at your home are also using LW.
