I fixed!

Im not sure if this is what you meant when you said you added Limewire to your firewall but what i did is i went to the Norton Antivirus icon and i opened it. Then, i went to "pc security" and then to "manage firewall." Then i went to "program rules" and i scrolled down to limewire. To the right of the name was a thing that gave me three options. I could either allow it, block it, or custom. I chose allow and then i closed it and it worked! Im not sure if this will work for others because I have the newer version of Norton Antivirus but hey, its worth a shot.

The first thing to try is deleting LW's preferences folder. Have a look at this thread for detailed instructions (click on link): If LW Will Not Connect
Make sure that LW's properly closed first. After you delete LW's preferences folder, you should go through the setup wizard all over again;)

If that doesn't help, try the other fixes in that thread. Just go through them slowly:) And let us know if there were any fixes that you had trouble with, or didn't want to try.

If nothing there helps, we need your system details. That help thread has info about which details we need.
